Vita, Gough Street

The Vita student living scheme at Gough Street, Birmingham, has been designed to create modern accommodation with a focus on comfort, durability and efficiency. Orlight provided a complete lighting package that balanced functional performance with architectural detail.

At the core of the scheme, ORL6009 All White recessed downlights were deployed in large volumes across apartments, providing discreet and uniform 3000K illumination. These were complemented by VITA-2 twin surface-mounted downlights, which offered additional output and flexibility while maintaining the all-white aesthetic.

Bathrooms and wet rooms were equipped with ShowerSpot IP65 downlights in RAL 9016, delivering reliable sealed performance in moisture-prone environments. Subtle ambient detailing was introduced through EVO4 LED strip lighting housed within aluminium profiles, creating soft architectural accents throughout the development.

Through this carefully coordinated package, Orlight delivered a lighting scheme that enhances both the private apartments and shared amenities, supporting Vita’s reputation for high-quality student living.
