Headingley Stadium East

The East Stand of Headingley Stadium underwent a major upgrade, requiring a lighting package capable of supporting the demands of a high-traffic sporting venue while meeting performance, durability and compliance requirements.

Orlight supplied a coordinated range of luminaires for back-of-house, hospitality, circulation, public and service areas. The specification included ORLLED600 UGR panels in 4000K to provide efficient, uniform illumination where visual comfort and consistency were required, with emergency self-test versions incorporated to support life-safety requirements.

EZ2 downlights in 27W and 18W outputs were selected for circulation and public-facing areas, offering a clean recessed appearance with reliable light output and an IP54 rating suitable for more demanding environments. ORLWP5 WEATHERPACK luminaires supported utility and service zones with robust IP66-rated performance, while EXIT-LUME emergency signage completed the compliance-led lighting package.

The result is a practical and safety-focused lighting scheme that supports the upgraded stadium environment with efficient illumination, durable product selection and a professional architectural finish.
