Orlight is proud to have supported Chelsea Waterfront with a turn key lighting solution, delivering a coordinated scheme that enhances key architectural features while maintaining consistent performance across internal residential and communal areas.
The scope was focused primarily on the atrium and the façade, where the lighting was designed to support the architectural intent and strengthen the experience of arrival and shared amenity spaces. In addition, Orlight supplied general lighting and standard circulation lighting to ensure safe, comfortable movement throughout internal routes and communal zones.
External lighting was intentionally limited and delivered with a clear functional objective, with performance verified to both the ground plane and the front elevation. This included ORL3011-SS up down luminaires along the front face of the building, providing controlled illumination at pedestrian level while introducing subtle architectural emphasis to the façade.
Orlight also produced lighting calculations to demonstrate how the chimney structures could be effectively illuminated. While strip lighting was not ultimately implemented, the scheme adopted Cascade luminaires positioned at the base of the chimneys, creating a strong visual outcome and contributing to the development’s night time identity.
The completed installation presents a balanced solution that reinforces the architectural character of Chelsea Waterfront after dark and supports a high quality resident experience throughout the building.
