FIRE HOOD

The FIRE HOOD family provides a range of protective covers designed for use with recessed lighting installations. Available in CONE, MEDIUM and LARGE configurations, the range helps maintain fire integrity around ceiling penetrations while allowing heat from the luminaire to disperse during normal operation. Intumescent materials expand in the event of a fire to seal the ceiling cut-out and ventilation openings.

Selected variants are tested to BS476 Part 23, with fire ratings of up to 60 minutes for the MEDIUM and 90 minutes for the LARGE. The covers can be installed from above or below the ceiling, with selected versions also offering acoustic protection.
